Stager is built to keep your data on your own device. It does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data.
What Stager stores
Stager saves the following locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local):
- The Stages and tabs you create — titles, URLs, and optional notes.
- Optional screenshot previews of pages you choose to save.
- Your last-viewed screen, so the popup reopens where you left off.
This data never leaves your device, is not transmitted to us, and is not shared with any third party. Uninstalling the extension removes it. You can export it to a JSON file at any time via Export Backup, and you control that file.
What Stager does NOT do
- No analytics, telemetry, or tracking.
- No selling or sharing of any data.
- No collection of your browsing history beyond the specific pages you explicitly save.
Permissions
- activeTab — lets Stager read the title, URL, and favicon of the tab you're on and capture its screenshot only when you click "Add Current Page."
- storage / unlimitedStorage — stores your library locally (screenshots can exceed the default storage quota).
- host access to extensionpay.com — used only to verify and process a Pro purchase, and only if the paid upgrade is enabled.
Payments
If you purchase Stager Pro, checkout is handled by ExtPay using Stripe. Their handling of payment information is governed by their respective privacy policies. Stager only receives a boolean "paid / not paid" status and never sees or stores your card details.
